Job summary

A leading logistics firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Warehouse Manager to oversee all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient management of materials for oil & gas projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 10 years of experience in warehouse operations, particularly with strong inventory management skills and knowledge of HSE regulations. This role requires excellent leadership and communication skills, contributing to improving warehouse efficiency and safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the oil & gas sector.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems like SAP or Oracle.
  • Familiarity with material handling standards and HSE regulations.

Job Purpose:

To manage and oversee all warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of materials, equipment, and spare parts required for oil & gas projects and operations. Maintain accurate inventory control, compliance with company policies, and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise daily warehouse operations including material receiving, storage, issuance, and dispatch.
  • Plan and organize warehouse layout to optimize space utilization and workflow.
  • Ensure all incoming and outgoing materials are properly documented, inspected, and recorded in the inventory system (ERP/SAP).
  • Manage stock levels and coordinate with procurement and project teams to maintain adequate inventory for operational needs.
  • Implement and monitor warehouse procedures in compliance with company, client, and HSE requirements.
  • Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and project teams for timely delivery of materials to job sites.
  • Maintain proper handling, labeling, and segregation of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy.
  • Train and supervise warehouse staff, including storekeepers, forklift operators, and helpers.
  • Ensure warehouse equipment and vehicles are maintained and operated safely.
  • Prepare reports on stock movement, material consumption, and warehouse performance.
  • Lead initiatives to improve warehouse efficiency, cost control, and safety standards.
  • Support shutdowns, drilling, and maintenance projects through effective materials planning and logistics coordination.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field.
  • Minimum +10 years’ experience in warehouse operations, preferably in the oil & gas.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP).
  • Familiarity with material handling standards, lifting equipment, and HSE regulations.
  • Good leadership, planning, and communication skills.
