Job summary

Manav Corporate is seeking a Plant Operator to monitor and control operations from the Central Control Room in the United Arab Emirates. You will operate DCS systems, oversee key process parameters, and coordinate with field operators to ensure safe and efficient plant performance.

The role includes starting up and shutting down processes, handling process changes, responding to alarms, maintaining logs, and adhering to PTW, HSE policies and safety procedures while supporting incident management

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control plant operations from the Central Control Room (CCR).
• Operate and monitor plant equipment and process systems through Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Monitor operating parameters, including pressure, temperature, flow rates, levels and process conditions.
• Maintain process parameters within approved operating limits and take corrective action when required.
• Coordinate with field operators to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations.
• Monitor alarms, identify abnormalities and take appropriate action according to operating procedures.
• Perform plant start-up, shutdown and process changeover activities as per approved procedures.
• Execute emergency shutdown (ESD) procedures whenever required.
• Monitor production processes and ensure operational stability and efficiency.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams for equipment inspection, troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
• Ensure proper communication and handover between shifts.
• Maintain operational logs, shift reports, alarm records and production data.
• Ensure compliance with Permit to Work (PTW), HSE policies and operational safety procedures.
• Participate in emergency response activities, including emergency drills and incident management.
• Report abnormal operating conditions and equipment failures to the Shift Controller / Supervisor.
• Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with company operating procedures and safety standards.
