Careers at UAE is seeking a Board Shift Operator to execute activities in the discipline in line with quality, health, environmental and safety regulations and prescribed procedures. The role reports to the operation shift supervisor and is assigned to projects by AVIMP Head of Department. Responsibilities include maintaining safe operation of plant/equipment at the MCR, supporting loop checks, recording handovers, monitoring alarms, and following safety procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in any engineering course.
Minimum of 10 years work experience in EPC Oil & Gas projects / refinery.
Responsibilities
Operate plant/equipment at the MCR to maintain safe, high-efficiency conditions.
Collaborate with the loop check team during pre-commissioning to perform field/control checks.
Overlap with coworkers to relay plant events during shift changes.
Read carefully handovers and logbooks in the control room.
Monitor equipment and alarm status on DCS pages; ensure safe operation.
Follow lockout and safety procedures during maintenance.
Record actions and issues in the shift handover logbook.

Job summary/Role description
Board Shift Operator executes the activities pertaining to his discipline in compliance with the quality requirements, health / environmental / safety regulations and following the stated procedures.
He / she reports to the operation shift supervisor.
He / she is assigned to the project by AVIMP Head of Department.
Duties and responsibilities
Under the supervision and instruction of the KOS, he / she is responsible to maintain in operation under safe condition the plant / unit / equipment at the MCR or maximum efficiency point keeping the production or other detectable parameter at higher point. In case of trip or partial load, have to operate and remove the constraint and increase again the load.
In the pre-commissioning phase, collaborate with the loop check team to carry out the relevant filed and logic control on the control systems.
Overlap his / her colleague to bring all remarks and happenings of the plant during his shift off.
Read carefully the written handovers in the control room logbook.
Check frequently all equipments and alarms status on DCS pages.
lockout and other safety procedures for equipments under maintenance.
He / she reports diligently in the handover logbook every action taken and every problem arisen during his / her shift.
