We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Waiter/Waitress to provide exceptional service onsite at InterContinental® Hotel Dubai Festival City. The role involves delivering memorable guest experiences through seamless transactions, local knowledge, and anticipatory service.

Key Responsibilities

• Have a complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items available to Room Service and minibar
• Maintain thorough knowledge of the hotel and room layouts
• Assist with the preparation of an outlet for service including:
  • Maintain cleanliness, sorting, and preparing store equipment and materials; glassware, flatware, and chinaware for service
  • Check storage areas for proper supplies, organisation, and cleanliness
  • Inspect, plan, and ensure that all materials and equipment are in complete readiness for service
  • Ensure table preparation, knowledge of different tray and trolley set‑ups, and awareness of all amenities for timely service delivery
  • Trays and carts are removed from hotel hallways and elevator bays at all times
• Always follow standard telephone etiquette while speaking to guests over the phone
• Greet guests appropriately at their rooms and provide service upon item orders
• Collect orders from the kitchen, ensuring they are prepared and presented correctly
• Ensure prompt and efficient delivery of food and beverage to the guest's room
• Maintain hot food temperatures and deliver cold items at the correct temperature
• Serve drinks efficiently in the proper glass with the proper garnish
• Read and retain all pertinent information regarding daily promotions, food and beverage specials
• Check back with guests to ensure they enjoy their meal and identify any further needs
• Perform duties of room service in the absence of the supervisor
• Anticipate guest or operational needs
• Ensure room service equipment is functioning properly and report any problems to the Room Service Manager
• Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Hotel Standards
• Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag at all times
• Perform any reasonable tasks as instructed by Manager
• Report to superior any damaged or defective equipment
• Work carefully to minimise breakage
