Job summary

Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi is seeking a Waiter/Waitress to join our prestigious Food & Beverage team. You will deliver refined service to guests in a luxury setting, upholding the hotel’s exacting standards.

Based in Abu Dhabi, you will set up stations, greet guests, present menus, take orders, and ensure timely service while coordinating with the captain and kitchen. We welcome hospitality graduates with a passion for guest care and prior restaurant or resort experience.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Hospitality Management is preferred.
• Previous standalone restaurant experience is preferred; resort experience is a plus.
• Passionate about guest service with an engaging personality.

Responsibilities

• Set up stations and tables according to standards.
• Greet guests according to Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi standards.
• Communicate with guests according to standards.
• Assist the captain in presenting the menu, making recommendations, and taking orders.
• Serve food and beverages and ensure prompt service.
• Follow up on billing and checking procedures.
• Keep the buffet area clean and debris-free.
• Assist in clearing tables and stations.
• Coordinate and supervise return of dirty linen.
• Assist the kitchen in clearing the buffet.
• Be present in the restaurant during service hours.
• Inform the captain of guest comments and complaints.
• Attend meetings, briefings, and training sessions as required.
• Maintain neat uniform and personal grooming.

About The Job

Based at the Emirates palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi within the Food & Beverage Department, the Waiter/ Waitress is responsible for ensuring that guests are served food and beverage according to the standards of Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi. The Waitress reports to the Assistant Restaurant Manager.

As Waiter/ Waitress, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Set up stations and tables according to set standards.
• Greet the guest according to the standards set by Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi.
• Communicate with the guest according to the standards set by Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi.
• Assist the captain in presenting the menu, making recommendations, and taking orders.
• Serving food and beverage items and ensuring prompt service.
• Follow up on billing and checking procedures.
• Ensure that the buffet is kept clean and free of debris.
• Assist in the clearing of tables and stations.
• Coordinate and supervise the return of dirty linen.
• Assist the kitchen in clearing the buffet.
• To be present in the restaurant during service hours.
• Ensure that the captain is kept informed of all guest comments and complaints.
• Attend communication meetings, briefings, and training sessions as required by the restaurant manager, training manager, and food and beverage manager.
• To keep uniform neat and clean and ensure good personal grooming and hygiene in accordance with the standards of Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi.

As Waiter/ Waitress, We Expect From You

• Certification or Diploma in Hospitality Management is preferred.
• Previous Standalone restaurant experience is preferred. Resort experience will be a plus.
• Passionate about guest service with an engaging personality.
