The Waiter is responsible for the following tasks and other duties as assigned by the department:

  • Work as a team with colleagues across all departments to ensure timely service and smooth operations.
  • Understand and adhere to all hotel policies and Standard Operating Procedures related to guest service, operations, personal discipline, and grooming.
  • Offer a warm, professional welcome and farewell to guests and clients, maintaining impeccable posture and presentation at all times.
  • Prepare the bill when requested and follow procedures for collecting payments.
  • Check out with your Supervisor before leaving your station or floor.
  • Complete closing duties, including storing reusable goods, cleaning equipment and areas, restocking, locking refrigerators, and completing daily cleaning checklists.
  • Have a full knowledge of hotel services and facilities to answer guest inquiries.
  • Follow all safety policies to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Follow all reasonable work-related requests from Supervisors or Managers to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain your station according to standards at all times.
  • Develop comprehensive menu knowledge.
  • Use Point of Sale equipment correctly and follow procedures.
  • Respect guest privacy and security when entering rooms.
  • Participate in training to develop skills and improve guest satisfaction.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, communicate professionally, and answer phones appropriately.
  • Carry out all assigned tasks and responsibilities as directed by your supervisor.
