The Role

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Video Editor to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who not only has a keen eye for visual storytelling and strong editing skills but also understands the nuances of social media content. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of video production, from concept to delivery, with a strong focus on creating engaging content for various social media platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shoot and capture high-quality video footage for a variety of projects, including marketing campaigns, social media content, internal communications, and more.
  • Edit raw footage into polished, engaging, and shareable videos, adhering to brand guidelines and project objectives.
  • Develop creative concepts and storyboards for video content.
  • Manage and organize video assets, ensuring efficient workflow and archiving.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing software, equipment, and social media trends.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to ensure video content aligns with overall strategy.
  • Assist with other social media tasks as needed, including content scheduling, posting, and engagement monitoring.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in video shooting and editing, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Familiarity with camera equipment and lighting techniques.
  • Understanding of various social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn) and their video best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Experience with motion graphics and animation is a plus.

  • Core Technical Skills:
  • Videography & Cinematography:Understanding of camera operation, shot composition, lighting techniques (natural and artificial), audio recording, and visual storytelling principles.
  • Video Editing:Expert-level proficiency in assembling raw footage into a cohesive narrative, pacing, color grading/correction, sound design, and incorporating visual effects.
  • Post-Production Workflow:Efficient management of media assets, project files, and rendering processes.
  • Social Media Content Adaptation:Ability to optimize video content for various platforms (e.g., vertical video for TikTok/Reels, short-form for stories, longer-form for YouTube/Facebook), understanding platform-specific best practices.
  • Graphic Design Basics:Ability to create simple title cards, lower thirds, and on-screen text overlays.
  • Software/Tools Proficiency:
  • Primary Editing Suites:Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve.
  • Motion Graphics/VFX (at least basic):Adobe After Effects.
  • Image Editing:Adobe Photoshop (for thumbnails, graphic overlays).
  • Audio Editing:Adobe Audition or similar (for noise reduction, mixing).
  • Project Management Tools:As used by the company (e.g., Trello, Asana).
  • Soft Skills:
  • Creativity & Innovation:Ability to conceptualize fresh ideas and bring them to life visually.
  • Attention to Detail:Meticulous eye for continuity, grammar in text overlays, and visual aesthetics.
