Job Title:

Vice President – Financial Planning, Analysis & Strategic Projects

Job Purpose:

The job holder is responsible for supporting the execution of integrated business strategies through the provision of relevant and accurate MIS. Setting up and maintaining the adequate system of management information reporting to facilitate the business decisions. Contributing to sound business decisions. Maintaining and coordinating completion of financial review templates and meetings (Deep dive, monthly dashboard, budget, forecast, rating agencies, BOD, AGM, investors etc.). Support in developing The Organization's group review process and ensure that each subsidiary management reporting is fully integrated into the Group reporting

The job holder is responsible for executing the transformation roadmap for Finance and Reinsurance department by driving the automation and other relevant initiatives and projects, continuous assessment of the needs with full alignment to the Company strategy and monitoring for the possible solutions. Validate the ideas and present to EVP Finance for decision making. Support the strategy of building “A class operations

The job holder is responsible for supporting EVP Finance, CFO, in documenting and facilitating the implementation of the Company wise strategy

Operational Responsibilities:
Company wise Strategy :

Supporting EVP Finance in designing , maintaining and facilitating in implementation of the Group strategy.

Management reporting System (MIS):
  • Drive MIS creation. Liaise with the business and Senior leadership team to meet the business objectives and create the good insight for the business to drive the decision-making process. Ensure data integrity and accuracy in presenting various KPIs. Design the weekly/ monthly / quarterly / annually dashboards and drive the discussions to interpret the data.
  • Prepare financial reporting to external parties (Rating agencies, Investors, BOD, AGM etc.). Coordinate the input within the department.
  • Preparation of sophisticated pack for Investors. Conducting the regular town halls to address their queries.
Budgets and forecast:
  • Drive the budgetary process with various members of management to produce budgets aligned with strategic plans of the company.
  • Overseeing the subsidiary(ies) budget process to ensure that the input into the Group budget is aligned with the strategy objectives.
  • Where required, prepare financial models, input and output files, consolidation and expense recharging for the budgetary process to keep in mind the departments, channels and branches The Organization's is involved with.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders for financial projections where business plans involve expansion, new branches or The Organization's new entities.
  • Develop forecasts to help to manage the business proactively and form the base for budgeting processes. Provide the business insights on the trends and business events and economic / market conditions impacting the financial performance.
Operational Excellence:
  • Drive the automation of the reporting (including regulatory, management and produced for internal use). Own Finance and Reinsurance data mining processes.
  • Coordinate AI program for Finance and Reinsurance division. Liaise with IT and AI vendors for the opportunities.
  • Be single point of contact for IT in terms of changes requests and new system development. Ensure that the requests are prioritized in line with the departmental needs and timely executed. Seek for EVP Finance approval.
  • Support the various Finance teams in new data requests (analyse the possibilities and drive for solution).
  • Analyse needs (innovation, pain points and operational model) and map them to the possible solutions available. Analyse the various possibilities and present to EVP Finance for consideration. Liaise with external and internal stakeholder for required input. Contribute to forming of the Finance and Reinsurance transformation roadmap.
  • Support other projects run in the company: ensure adequate UAT is executed and Finance and Reinsurance business needs are considered (liaise with the responsible managers within the team to achieve this objective).
  • Redefine financial systems set-up to be in line with the growth and plans of the company (i.e. with new ventures, changes in regulations, holding company set-up, etc).
  • Support EVP Finance in driving “continuous improvement” culture with the team.
Market Intelligence:
  • Provide analysis on industry trends via news reports, peer analysis, listed insurance company analysis
  • Provide Business opportunities on tenders, quotations, current projects and developments
  • Provide ad-hoc support to Line of Business / Distribution
Frameworks, Boundaries & Decision-Making Authority:
  • The job holder plans and manages own areas of activity within policy / procedure constraints under the approval of the reporting manager.
  • The job holder exercises financial authority as per the level established in the financial authority matrix within The Organization's.

Qualifications, Relevant Certifications & Experience:
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree.

Relevant Certifications:

Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) or Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or any related certification

Years & Nature of Experience:

12 to 15 years of relevant experience (preferably in Insurance / Reinsurance industries)

Language Requirements:

Full professional proficiency in English Language
