Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years as a Veterinary Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during consultations by restraining animals, taking vital signs, and preparing the examination room.
• Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring sterilization and readiness.
• Assist during surgeries by monitoring anesthesia and passing instruments to the surgeon.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment notes and medical histories.
• Educate pet owners on general pet care, post-operative care, and medication administration.
• Clean and sanitize examination rooms, surgical areas, and equipment.
• Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
• Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures, such as blood draws and urinalysis.
