Job summary

Agura Consultants is seeking an experienced Vertical Transportation Design & Planning specialist to deliver technical design and consultancy for elevators, escalators, and related systems across diverse building projects.

You will develop strategies, analyze traffic, prepare layouts, and coordinate with architects, structural, MEP teams and contractors. The role requires strong technical writing and client-facing skills, with travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
5 years of vertical transportation experience preferred.
Experience reviewing technical submissions and drawings.

Responsibilities

Develop vertical transportation strategies based on project requirements.
Perform lift traffic calculations to determine elevators capacity & speed.
Prepare and review elevator/escalator layouts and design docs.
Coordinate VT requirements with architectural, structural, MEP, and other teams.
Review proposals from manufacturers and contractors.
Prepare technical specs, tender docs, and equipment schedules.
Provide support during tendering and vendor evaluation.
Attend project meetings and provide technical recommendations.
Review shop drawings and site documentation for compliance.
Conduct site inspections and assist with installation, testing & commissioning.
Ensure designs comply with standards and project requirements.
Prepare reports and client deliverables.
Stay updated on elevator tech, energy efficiency, safety standards.
