Agura Consultants is seeking an experienced Vertical Transportation Design & Planning specialist to deliver technical design and consultancy for elevators, escalators, and related systems across diverse building projects.

You will develop strategies, analyze traffic, prepare layouts, and coordinate with architects, structural, MEP teams and contractors. The role requires strong technical writing and client-facing skills, with travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5 years of vertical transportation experience preferred.
• Experience reviewing technical submissions and drawings.

Responsabilités

• Develop vertical transportation strategies based on project requirements.
• Perform lift traffic calculations to determine elevators capacity & speed.
• Prepare and review elevator/escalator layouts and design docs.
• Coordinate VT requirements with architectural, structural, MEP, and other teams.
• Review proposals from manufacturers and contractors.
• Prepare technical specs, tender docs, and equipment schedules.
• Provide support during tendering and vendor evaluation.
• Attend project meetings and provide technical recommendations.
• Review shop drawings and site documentation for compliance.
• Conduct site inspections and assist with installation, testing & commissioning.
• Ensure designs comply with standards and project requirements.
• Prepare reports and client deliverables.
• Stay updated on elevator tech, energy efficiency, safety standards.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Vertical Transportation Design & Planning to join our team. The role involves providing technical design and consultancy services for elevators escalators and other vertical transportation systems across various building projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop vertical transportation strategies and concepts based on project requirements building usage occupancy and applicable codes.


• Perform traffic analysis and lift traffic calculations to determine the appropriate number capacity and speed of elevators.


• Prepare and review elevator and escalator layouts specifications and design documentation.


• Coordinate vertical transportation requirements with architectural structural MEP and other engineering disciplines.


• Review and evaluate lift/escalator proposals technical submissions drawings and specifications from manufacturers and contractors.


• Prepare technical specifications tender documents and equipment schedules.


• Provide technical support during tendering vendor evaluation and contractor selection.


• Attend project coordination meetings and provide technical recommendations to clients consultants and project teams.


• Review shop drawings material submissions and technical documents for compliance with project requirements.


• Conduct site inspections and assist with installation testing and commissioning where required.


• Ensure designs comply with applicable Indian Standards international standards local regulations and project-specific requirements.


• Prepare technical reports presentations and client deliverables.


• Coordinate with clients architects developers contractors manufacturers and other stakeholders.


• Support business development activities by providing technical inputs project estimates and consultancy proposals.


• Stay updated with developments in elevator technology energy efficiency accessibility safety requirements and vertical transportation standards.

Preferred Experience

• 5 years of relevant experience in vertical transportation design/consultancy.


• Experience working on commercial residential hospitality healthcare retail or mixed-use projects will be an advantage.


• Good understanding of relevant lift and escalator codes and standards.


• Experience coordinating with elevator manufacturers and contractors.


• Strong technical communication and report-writing skills.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelors degree/diploma in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.


• Relevant experience in vertical transportation consultancy will be given preference.
