Job summary

BESIX Group in Dubai is seeking a skilled Vehicle Mechanic/Technician to repair vehicles and construction equipment and to perform routine maintenance to keep assets in optimal running condition.

Responsibilities include diagnosing faults, replacing faulty parts, logging usage hours and fuel, and maintaining a clean, safe workshop environment while meeting strong safety standards in a fast-paced construction setting.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of relevant technical education.
• Ability to climb into heavy equipment several times per day.
• Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes.
• English communication ability.
• Current UAE work eligibility for interviews and qualification tests.

• Quickly and safely evaluate/troubleshoot worksite equipment repairs;
• Maintain and Ready a variety of construction equipment and tools for safe operation;
• Perform timely check out/check-in;
• Check equipment for damage, record hours used, mileage, and fuel levels;
• Evaluate and complete equipment repairs;
• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining shop and equipment;
• Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment at all times;
• Maintain the service and appearance of assigned service truck;
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Job Description:

The role of a mechanic is to repair vehicles and equipment and make routine maintenance checks to ensure that a vehicle and equipment is running, as it should be. Mechanics need to have a good technical knowledge of a wide range of vehicles and equipment, a high level of attention to detail, and maintaining a patient and friendly attitude.

• Quickly and safely evaluate/troubleshoot worksite equipment repairs;
• Maintain and make Ready a variety of construction equipment and tools to ensure their safe operation;
• Perform timely check out/check-in;
• Check equipment for damage, record hours used, mileage, and fuel levels;
• Evaluate and complete equipment repairs;
• Responsible for cleaning and maintaining shop and equipment;
• Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment at all times;
• Maintain the service and appearance of assigned service truck;
• Perform any other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Technical requirements:

• Replacing faulty parts;
• Activities requiring handling and grasping with the hands when performing repairs or maintenance of equipment by utilising hand tools, power tools, air tools, nuts, bolts, electronic controls, and other small parts.

Qualifications
