About the role
At Urban Company, a Category Manager / Senior Manager role is to maximize sales and profitability in their respective categories by working one or more work streams such as quality, supply, growth and innovation. The role is dynamic and requires a combination of analytical, strategic, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and grow their product category within the organization. We are looking for folks with a high degree of ownership, bias‑for‑action, passion and ability to go above and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Quality Building: Maintain very high NPS as per industry standards of existing services along with all the new planned additions to the portfolio. With a very diverse supply w.r.t. nationality and skillset, the categories have always been open to crazy problem solving and innovation when it comes to ensuring that the right set of supply is onboarded with adequate training. Work with trainers to shape training modules, build training infra to drive quality improvement.
- Supply Building: Identify and onboard service aggregators in the category – involve meeting many of them and plenty of fieldwork.
- Problem Solving: Problem‑solve at the grass‑root level. Self‑ideate and innovate solutions to the problems at hand.
- Hustle: Significant ability to hustle and desire to get their hands dirty. Deep dive into each problem, understand and improve the key drivers of the business.
- Partner Relationship: Continuously work to improve partner side economics and happiness of our professionals. Accountable for building a loyal base of professionals with a very high affinity to UC as a platform.
What we'll need
- Strong SQL and data analysis/insights skill
- Go‑getter attitude and ability to be hands‑on
- Strong ability to communicate and work collaboratively with others. Experience of managing teams/people would be a plus.
