Job summary

SCAN Electromechanic Cont. Co. in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Underground Cable Design Engineer to lead high voltage cable design activities. The role emphasizes independent management of route layouts, pulling/tension calculations, and jointing/box arrangements.

You will prepare design drawings and calculations, and coordinate draftsmen to deliver complete design packages for projects across UAE and GCC.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 10 years of relevant experience in underground cable design.
• Ability to independently manage design activities including route layouts and cable pulling/tension calculations.
• Experience with jointing, link box arrangements, civil testing and sample handling, and producing design drawings and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage underground cable design activities from concept to drawings.
• Lead and coordinate draftsmen to ensure accurate design deliverables.
