Ghobash Group is seeking an experienced electrical construction professional to supervise MV cable laying, coordinate trenching and duct banks, and ensure compliance with drawings and ITPs in Abu Dhabi. You will review cable pulling plans, oversee jointing and terminations, and support commissioning with clients and testers.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and hands-on experience in high-voltage infrastructure, industrial, power or oil & gas projects.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise MV cable laying by direct burial duct bank trench and cable tray.
• Prepare and review cable pulling plans including tension, bending radius and drum handling.
• Oversee cable jointing and termination with qualified jointers per procedures.
• Verify tagging, route markers, warning tape and accurate as-built records.
• Coordinate with civil teams on trenches, duct banks, and utility clearances.
• Witness pre-energization testing (IR, hipot, insulation, continuity, phasing).
• Support commissioning activities with clients, consultants and testers.
• Plan and control materials and site storage for cables and accessories.
• Prepare progress reports and participate in project meetings.

Responsibilities

Supervise MV cable laying by direct burial duct bank trench and cable tray including route survey trenching bedding cable pulling and backfill Prepare and review cable pulling plans covering pulling tension bending radius and drum handling along with cable schedules and route layouts Oversee cable jointing and termination by qualified jointers and verify compliance with manufacturer procedures and approved kits Verify cable identification tagging route markers warning tape protective tiles and accurate as-built route records Coordinate with civil teams on trenches duct banks road crossings and utility clearances before excavation starts Coordinate and witness pre-energization testing insulation resistance VLF hipot sheath integrity continuity and phasing Review test results and records and ensure defects are corrected before energization Support commissioning activities with clients consultants and third-party testers Supervise day-to-day electrical installation activities in line with approved drawings specifications and project schedules Monitor installation of transformers switchgear MCCs UPS systems generators lighting and earthing systems Review electrical drawings method statements and work procedures before execution Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with quality requirements and inspection and test plans ITPs Identify technical issues such as route clashes material delays and design queries and propose practical solutions to avoid delays Plan and control materials including cable drums accessories and storage on site Coordinate with clients consultants subcontractors and internal project teams Prepare progress reports update project management on site activities and take part in project meetings Support project close-out punch list clearance and handover documentation.

Company Description

Minimum 8 10 years of experience in electrical construction, installation, and commissioning. Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering. Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial, Power, or Infrastructure projects. UAE/GCC experience preferred. Relevant experience in MV cable laying and electrical infrastructure projects, preferably with hands-on experience in TAQA infrastructure projects. Relevant certifications in electrical systems and safety practices are preferred.
