Job summary

ApplyMint is seeking an embedded firmware engineer to develop and maintain UAV flight-control firmware. You will implement drivers for IMU, GPS and sensors, and integrate avionics software with flight-control hardware. The role requires strong C/C++ skills and hands-on microcontroller work in a multidisciplinary team.

Experience with RTOS, STM32/ARM Cortex, and sensor interfacing is highly valued; UAE-based candidates are preferred due to the Abu Dhabi location.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in embedded firmware for UAV flight-control systems.
• Strong C/C++ programming skills and hands-on microcontroller work.
• Experience with CAN, UART, SPI and I2C communication protocols.
• Familiarity with RTOS, STM32/ARM Cortex or similar platforms.
• Experience with hardware drivers and sensors integration.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded firmware for UAV flight-control boards.
• Develop hardware drivers for IMU, GPS, airspeed sensors, and avionics.
• Implement communication protocols (UART, CAN, SPI, I2C).
• Develop payload and servo control systems.
• Perform system integration testing and debugging.
• Support prototype development and flight-test activities.
• Collaborate with avionics hardware and systems engineers.
