Job summary

WhiteCrow Research Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an UAEN Assistant Manager - Contracts to join our Dubai team. You will prepare cost advice, issue inquiries, support procurement and manage cost estimates across civil projects in the GCC.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in contract administration, strong knowledge of FIDIC, and experience in project management and risk analysis. CCM/PCM/CPP certifications are preferred and you will work closely with multi-disciplinary teams to optimize value.

Qualifications

• Graduate in contracts/engineering/quantity surveying or related field.
• CCM/PCM/CPP certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts.
• Experience in project management, quantity surveying, and risk management.
• Min 3–5 years of experience administering contracts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare budgetary cost advice for all work elements of the project with accurate cost estimates.
• Issue inquiries to suppliers/subcontractors and prepare bid summaries for review and approval.
• Support procurement and contractual activities and ensure compliance with obligations.
• Generate 'Order of Magnitude' costs for construction projects to guide planning.
• Refine, monitor, and control costs during design development.
• Manage cost analysis for new work, repair, and maintenance work.
• Coordinate between disciplines to assess material requirements and cost scenarios.
• Conduct risk analysis to identify and mitigate project risks.
• Procure quality services and maximize project value.
• Manage tendering and awarding processes within set parameters.

As a UAEN Assistant Manager - Contracts, you will be responsible for...

• Supporting in preparing budgetary cost advice for all work elements of the project, ensuring accurate cost estimates and facilitating informed decision-making.
• Issuing inquiries to suppliers/subcontractors and preparing bid summaries for review and approval, optimizing procurement processes and securing competitive bids.
• Supporting procurement and contractual activities, safeguarding the company's interests and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Generating 'Order of Magnitude' costs for construction projects, providing preliminary cost estimates to guide project planning and decision-making.
• Refining, monitoring, and controlling costs during design development, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to project budgets.
• Managing cost analysis for new work, repair, and maintenance work to provide detailed cost requirements and timely advice to the client, fostering cost transparency and informed client decisions.
• Liaising and coordinating between civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and other disciplines to ensure the material requirements for different work, assess the feasibility of using different materials, and creating various cost scenarios for the client to make informed decisions on the cost implications of material choices.
• Conducting risk analysis of different projects to identify, manage, or avoid potential risks, enhancing the cost-benefit profile of projects through proactive risk mitigation strategies.
• Procuring quality services and works, calculating cost benefits to the project and client to ensure adherence to best practices and maximize project value.
• Managing the tendering and awarding process and procedures, ensuring the selection of qualified contractors for bidding and awarding of work within established parameters, fostering competitive procurement practices and securing the best value for the project.

What you already have...

• Graduate in Contracts Management/ Civil Engineering/ Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Certified Contract Manager (CCM) / Professional Contract Manager (PCM) / Certified Public Procurement (CPP)- preferred
• Strong knowledge in FIDIC suite of contracts
• Skilled in Project Management (preferred), Quantity Survey (requirement) and Risk Management (preferred).
• Strong understanding of contract law, construction law, and relevant business law principles.
• Min. 3-5 years of experience with at least 3 years involvement in administering contracts.
