Job summary

Al-Futtaim in Dubai seeks a Branch Accountant to support day-to-day dealership finance operations, ensure accurate accounting, and comply with financial policies in a high-volume automotive environment.

You will review daily branch transactions, support vehicle deals, monitor cash, and prepare reconciliations while assisting with month-end close and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial controls.
• 2-4 years of experience in accounting, branch finance, or high-volume transactional finance.
• Experience with ERP systems, particularly SAP, and dealership finance operations.

Responsibilities

• Review and support posting of daily branch transactions (invoices, receipts, collections, payments).
• Support vehicle deals by checking financial aspects, pricing, and discount requests.
• Monitor cash collections, bank deposits, and petty cash; ensure accuracy and reconciliation.
• Prepare and follow up on reconciliations for customer accounts, vendor balances, and petty cash.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals, provisions, and journal support.
• Track branch operating expenses, purchase orders, and supplier invoices for overspending or miscoding.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, DOA, internal controls, and audit requirements.

Major responsibilities include supporting vehicle deal documentation, pricing, discount checks, and overseeing cash and banking activities. This position requires a focus on the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions and adherence to month-end timelines. The role demands proactive management of daily finance operations within a high-volume automotive environment.

What You Will Do:

General

• Review and support the posting of daily branch transactions, including invoices, receipts, customer collections, and vendor payments.
• Support vehicle deals by checking financial aspects, pricing, and discount requests, ensuring accuracy and proper approvals.
• Monitor cash collections, bank deposits, and petty cash, ensuring balances are accurate and reconciled.
• Prepare and follow up on reconciliations for customer accounts, vendor balances, and petty cash.
• Assist with month-end close activities, including accrual inputs, provisions, and journal support.
• Track branch operating expenses, purchase orders, and supplier invoices to identify issues like overspending or miscoding.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, delegation of authority (DOA), internal controls, and audit requirements.
