Job summary

The Boring Company is seeking an experienced Integration Engineer to take responsibility for integrating the systems of our Tunnel Boring Machine – Prufrock. This role may also involve field support to underground tunneling operations.

You will collaborate with design, production, build and operations teams to ensure design intent, manufacturability and safety compliance. Strong CAD/FEA/PCB tooling skills and hands-on fabrication or testing experience are essential, with willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in an engineering discipline or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in design using CAD/FEA/PCB tools or software development.
• Strong teamwork with cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Hands-on hardware experience in fabrication, assembly or testing.
• Acute attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Review and provide feedback on performance, manufacturability, and simplicity of designs.
• Determine critical path of project schedules and drive development/implementation on those items.
• Communicate with stakeholders in the integration process: design, production, build, and operation.
• Organize and kit upcoming work including components, instructions, and tooling.
• Evaluate how the system fits into the larger operation.
• Ensure design/production/build choices meet top-level needs with future developments in mind.
• Ensure systems comply with regulations such as MSHA, OSHA, NEC, NFPA, Class 1 Division 2 Hazardous Location.
