Job summary

GI Corporation seeks an Electrical Engineer for field roles in the UAE. The position focuses on HV transmission projects, including installation, testing, and commissioning of power transformers and reactors. You will supervise site teams, coordinate with local utilities, and ensure compliance with latest standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of HV experience and UAE utility familiarity. UAE driving license is a plus and on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 3+ years of HV transmission experience.
• Experience in installation, testing and commissioning of power transformers and reactors.
• Knowledge of latest international standards and specifications of local utilities.

Responsibilities

• Support installation testing and commissioning of power transformers and reactors at site.
• Test and commission of transmission substations 132kV and 220kV.
• Provide technical supervision and site coordination of electrical projects.
• Liaise with local utility organizations per customer requirements.
• Plan materials and check availability at site before work starts.
• Supervise site technicians and ensure adherence to schedule.
• Report to Project Manager daily.

Support installation testing and commissioning of power transformers and reactors at site Testing and commissioning of transmission substations 132kV amp 220kV Technical supervision and site coordination of electrical projects Liaise with local utility organization in view of the customer requirements Execution of the projects as per the latest local utility standards Order the material requirements amp check the availability for the same at site prior to every work start Supervise site technicians and ensure adherence to schedule Report to Project Manager on daily basis

Job Requirements

Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering 3+ years of experience in HV transmission Experience in installation, testing and commissioning of power transformers and reactors Knowledge of the latest international standards and specifications of local utilities

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with UAE local utilities is an added advantage UAE Driving License is an added advantage.
