IHG Hotels & Resorts, through Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park, seeks a meticulous Training Manager to lead the Learning & Development agenda and elevate guest experiences through people development.

You will design onboarding, develop training resources, conduct needs analyses, and drive leadership capability with seminars and programs. Fluency in English is essential, with additional languages a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training & Development, Hospitality Management, or related field.
• 4+ years in Learning & Development or Training, preferably in hospitality.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to engage and inspire colleagues.
• Fluency in English; multilingual abilities advantageous.

Holiday Inn & Suites Dubai Science Park is looking for a meticulous Training Manager to join their extraordinary team! Ideally located in the heart of Dubai Science Park, in the most sought-after residential area of Dubai. Minutes away from mega malls, magnificent Jumeirah Beaches, world’s leading tourist attractions and Parks, auto drome and over 5 championship golf courses. The newly opened Holiday Inn & Suites at Dubai Science Park includes 240 hotel rooms and suites and 84 one-bedroom apartments, anchor F&B offerings and an extensive 1026sqm cutting-edge meeting and events facilities.

A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding, ensuring colleagues understand IHG brand standards, hotel policies, and service expectations.
• Develop resources for onboardings and training, including creating visual informative aids.
• Conduct all Training Needs Analysis for the Hotel – Establishing core competencies required for key positions and identify/develop training programs for all development needs.
• Establish and drive a high level of Leadership strength and competence through training/seminars/ resources.
• Establish a departmental trainer platform to drive effectiveness in delivery of training programs and recommendation for improvement.
• Be present at key service delivery points to assess and audit service standards – conduct spot training and support function heads with a clear understanding of challenges and opportunities.
• Create a talent pool of high potentials within the business from the Annual Performance Appraisals.
• Develop succession plans for the talent pool with the Department Heads and monitor progress based on goals.
• Promote a culture of continuous learning and service excellence through coaching, departmental training audits, on-the-job development, and alignment with IHG brand standards and business objectives.
• IHG University Management: Monitor colleagues’ completion of mandatory IHG University courses and learning pathways, follow up on outstanding courses and ensure completion within the required timelines.
• Certification and Renewal Tracking: Monitor the validity and expiry dates of mandatory training certificates and coordinate examinations and renewals to ensure colleagues maintain valid certifications.
• Training for Operational Changes: Coordinate training for new services, systems, equipment, updated SOPs, and changes to IHG brand standards, ensuring the concerned colleagues are informed and trained accordingly.
• Training Calendar and Compliance: Maintain an updated training calendar and monitor the completion of scheduled and mandatory training programmers across all departments.
• External Training Coordination: Coordinate with external training providers to arrange specialized training programmers and professional certifications based on the hotel's requirements.
• Training Budget and Resources: Monitor training-related expenditure and ensure the effective use of training materials, equipment and other learning resources.

What We Need From You

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Training & Development, Hospitality Management, or a related field. Minimum 4 years of experience in Learning & Development or Training, preferably within the hospitality industry, including supervisory or managerial experience. Strong knowledge of training methodologies, talent development, performance management. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage, coach, and inspire colleagues at all levels. Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
