Job summary

Digital Zone is seeking a seasoned leader to build and helm a trading engineering team in a high-growth environment in the United Arab Emirates. You will own the technical strategy for the trading platform, including order lifecycle, execution, and market data ingestion, while driving broker and data integrations.

You will partner with product, compliance, risk, and finance to embed KYC/AML and audit requirements in the design.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software engineering with 3+ years leading engineering teams and hiring/growing engineers.
• Direct experience building or operating online stock trading, brokerage, or capital markets systems.
• Shipped order management, execution, market data, or settlement systems in production.
• Fluent in domain: order lifecycles, market data feeds, clearing/settlement, and audit expectations for regulated trading.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead the trading engineering team from the ground up, hiring and mentoring engineers.
• Own the technical strategy and architecture for the trading platform, including order lifecycle, execution, and market data ingestion.
• Drive broker, exchange, and market data integrations and connectivity decisions.
• Ensure reliability and correctness under market conditions with latency budgets and robust reconciliation.
• Partner with product, compliance, risk, and finance to embed regulatory and audit requirements.
• Establish engineering practices like rigorous testing, controlled releases, incident response, and observability.
