Key Responsibilities – US Stock Market Trading and Portfolio Management
  • Conduct active trading of US equities using fundamental and technical analysis, ensuring high levels of accuracy and discipline in all trades.
  • Monitor macroeconomic events, earnings releases, and market news to identify trading opportunities and manage portfolio exposures.
  • Implement, evaluate, and refine proprietary trading strategies based on quantitative and qualitative market insights.
  • Execute trades efficiently via electronic trading platforms while maintaining adherence to compliance, regulatory, and risk guidelines.
  • Analyse trade performance, maintain comprehensive records, and summarise trading activity for review by senior management.
  • Collaborate with other traders, analysts, and technology teams to optimise execution, diversify approaches, and share market intelligence.
  • Stay informed about evolving US stock market trends, trading technologies, and best practices, promoting innovation and informed decision-making.
Required Skills – Equity Trading, Market Analysis, And Risk Management
  • Proven experience in live equity trading, ideally in US markets, with a sound understanding of stock exchanges, order types, and liquidity management.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret charts, technical indicators, market flows, and statistical data to inform trading decisions.
  • Excellent judgement, discipline, and resilience in fast-moving financial environments, with a focus on effective risk management.
  • Clear communication and collaborative skills for working within a diverse and dynamic trading team.
  • Technical proficiency in trading platforms, market data software, and business productivity tools including Excel and relevant analytical applications.
Qualifications & Experience – US Equity Markets, Trading Platforms, and Finance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ direct experience trading US equities and a demonstrable record of performance.
  • Professional certifications in financial markets (CFA, CMT, or similar) are advantageous.
