The Trader will be responsible for managing trading activities in the oil and gas sector. This role will involve sourcing and cultivating relationships with local partners and businesses within the petrochemical industry, optimizing trading opportunities, and mitigating risks effectively. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in trading petrochemical products, a comprehensive understanding of the petrochemical market, and strong communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate substantial experience in trading petrochemical products, specializing in Aromatics, Polymers, MEG, Alcohols, Solvent Glycoles, Methanol, Caustic Soda, and Fertilizers.
  • Drive business growth and development by sourcing and cultivating relationships with local partners and businesses within the petrochemical industry.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the petrochemical market as a whole, staying abreast of trends, demands, and fluctuations to inform trading strategies.
  • Manage a substantial book of 25‑40 petrochemical products, leveraging 10‑15 years of industry experience to optimize trading opportunities and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Engage as a cross‑trader or demonstrate expertise across various petrochemical products while understanding their intricacies and market dynamics.
  • Effectively liaise with multiple businesses within and around the petrochemical sector, fostering strategic partnerships and collaborations.
Experience

Minimum of 8 years of experience in trading oil and gas products.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • In‑depth knowledge of the petrochemical market dynamics, trends, and demands.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
