We are seeking a Traction Power and Power Supply Project Manager - AUB (f/m/d) as a part of our DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH Abu Dhabi. The job opening is in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and offers exciting challenges and potential for career growth.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, manage, coordinate, and integrate all project components related to traction power and power supply for the High-Speed Rail (HSR) project, ensuring delivery of a safe, reliable, and maintainable operational railway system
• Manage the full project lifecycle including design, procurement, manufacturing, construction, testing & commissioning, integration, trial operations, certification, taking-over, and close-out for traction power and power supply systems
• Supervise installation methodology and quality checks. Oversee cabling, equipment installs, post-installation checks, and power-up/testing.
• Supervise and carry out quality assurance and quality control on contractor deliverables and works in accordance with the Project Quality Assurance and Management Plan (QAMP) and Contractors' Quality Plans, from preconstruction through to testing, commissioning, and handover
• Review and approve material approval requests to ensure compliance with client contracts, technical specifications, approved designs, and applicable codes and standards
• Provide technical input for management of field change requests, non-conformance reports, and other site changes raised by contractors
• Ensure implementation of approved Project Integration Plans and work with the HSR Operator to deliver system integration in a safe and timely manner
• Manage site logistics and off-site manufacturing/assembly. Lead inspections, testing, surveillance, and supplier audits.
• Assist in preparation, application, and acquisition of consents, permits, licenses, and approvals required for design, construction, delivery, testing, and operation of the HSR network, including utility interface and coordination
• Manage and supervise works for delivery of new/altered assets for third-party stakeholders affected by project works (e.g., utilities diversion, road realignment)
• Manage and supervise Installation & testing and commissioning activities, including review and approval of testing strategies, plans, and procedures for traction power and power supply systems
• Maintain trackers for temporary works, shop drawings, as-built drawings, material approvals, and O&M manuals
• Prepare technical presentations and reports for stakeholders and authorities as required
• Ensure compliance with stakeholder requirements, standards, and specifications throughout all project stages

Qualifications

• University degree (preferably master’s and/or Chartered Engineer status)
• Minimum 15 years of experience in design and/or construction of rail projects with relevant expertise in the field
• Experience in delivering High-Speed Rail (HSR) projects is mandatory
• You must have held this position at least once before on a project of similar scale; demonstrated ability to lead comparable projects in complexity and size
• Local Experience in Middle East and/or UAE project experience is advantageous
• Proven capability to create and refine management plans (resource, process, risk, quality, interface)
• Fluent in spoken and written English ins mandatory; Arabic language skills would be an advantage
