Job summary

Mediclinic Airport Road Hospital in Abu Dhabi is seeking a dedicated Wound Care Nurse to provide patient-centric care and coordinate wound management within a regulatory framework. You will support a multi-disciplinary team and uphold ethical standards across the unit.

Applicants should hold a Nursing degree and the IIWCC wound care qualification, with 2+ years in their home country and 3+ years preferred in acute and chronic wound care, including VAC therapies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
• IIWCC wound care certification or an equivalent internationally recognized wound care qualification.

Responsibilities

• Deliver quality patient care in collaboration with the multi professional team according to set clinical standards and relevant legislation.
• Ensure patient safety by identifying, preventing and managing risks in accordance with applicable company risk policies, procedures and relevant legislation.
• Take active responsibility for positive patient experiences by creating a conducive environment as guided by nursing leadership.
• Create and contribute to a learning environment that builds employee competence by actively supervising, mentoring and coaching learners and nursing employees.

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To provide and coordinate patient-centric and evidence based nursing care by ensuring compliance to ethical and professional standards set by regulatory authorities and the company

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• To deliver quality patient care in collaboration with the multi professional team according to set clinical standards and relevant legislation
• Ensure patient safety by identifying, preventing and managing risks in accordance with applicable company risk policies, procedures and relevant legislation

REQUIRED EDUCATION

• Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution
• International Interprofessional Wound Care Course (IIWCC) certification or an equivalent internationally recognized wound care qualification

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• At least two years in own country
• Desired: At least three years of recent experience as a Wound Care Nurse
• Experience in acute and chronic wound care, including VAC therapies and related advanced wound care practices
