Job summary

Mediclinic Parkview Hospital in Dubai is seeking an experienced Midwife to provide and coordinate patient-centered midwifery care across antenatal, labour, delivery, and postnatal services. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to uphold ethical standards and ensure excellent patient outcomes.

The role requires a relevant Bachelor's degree in Midwifery and a minimum of two years’ current experience in Labour and Delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Midwifery
• 2 years minimum experience in Labour and Delivery unit
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and clinical documentation

Responsibilities

• Deliver and coordinate antenatal, intrapartum, postpartum care for women and neonates with multidisciplinary team
• Identify and manage risks to patient safety in line with policies and regulations
• Create a supportive environment for patients and families under nursing leadership
• Document nursing interventions accurately in records per company standards and legal requirements
• Supervise and mentor learners and nursing staff to build competency
• Utilize stock and equipment efficiently following Mediclinic guidelines

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To provide and coordinate patient-centric and evidence based midwifery care by ensuring compliance to ethical and professional standards set by regulatory authorities and the company

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

To deliver quality care to antenatal, intrapartum, postpartum women and neonates in collaboration with the multi professional team according to set clinical standards and relevant legislation

Ensure patient safety by identifying, preventing and managing risks in accordance with clinical risk policies, procedures and relevant legislation

To facilitate positive patient and family experiences by creating a conducive environment as guided by nursing leadership

To provide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions according to company standard and legal requirements

To create and contribute to a learning environment that builds employee competence by actively supervising, mentoring and coaching learners and nursing employees

To utilise all required stock and equipment efficiently, according to Mediclinic guidelines

Required Education

Relevant Bachelor's degree in Midwifery

Required Experience

At least two years current/ recent experience in Labour and Delievry unit

Required Job Skills And Knowledge

• Computer Literacy (Microsoft Suite)
