Job summary

ConFlip is seeking a Third Mate for a full-time, English-speaking role in Dibba-El-Fujairah, UAE. Indian nationals with maritime experience are encouraged to apply.

You will assist the Captain and Chief Officer, maintain navigational equipment, and supervise deck operations while adhering to safety procedures. The successful candidate will hold a valid seafarer's medical certificate and STCW certifications, be physically fit for demanding deck tasks, and possess strong teamwork and communication

Qualifications

• Must be an Indian national with proficiency in English.
• Experience as a Third Mate or similar role in the maritime industry.
• Valid seafarer's medical certificate and STCW certifications.
• Full-time availability; accommodation not provided.
• Must have a UAE visa or be eligible for sponsorship.
• Physically fit and able to handle deck tasks.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Captain and Chief Officer in navigating and operating the vessel safely.
• Maintain and update navigational charts, publications, and equipment.
• Supervise deck operations such as mooring, anchoring, and cargo handling.
• Conduct regular safety drills and ensure all safety procedures are followed by crew members.
• Keep accurate records of ship movements, cargo operations, and crew activities.
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust navigation plans as needed.
