Role: Teller
Location: Dubai / Branch - Al Barsha
Role Purpose: Delivering quality teller service to customers via accurate and efficient processing while projecting ADIBs professional image in all interpersonal dealings.
Responsibilities
- Perform all teller counter service transactions such as cash deposits & cash withdrawals and other transactions such as drafts, telegraphic transfers, payment orders, standing orders, foreign currency purchase & sales, cheque deposits etc. in line with operational policies & procedures.
- When centralized telegraphic transfers are involved, liaise with Treasury department to obtain best rates for VIP & high net worth customers in coordination with HOPs.
- Serve Private Banking customers at separate counters and process any other counter service transaction introduced by ADIB from time to time.
- Sell or identify and refer product inquiries from prospective customers to Sales staff.
- Reconciliation & control activities:
- Act as one of dual custodians for branch vault cash and security stationery.
- Assist HOP as the second custodian for dual control.
- Cash reconciliation & balancing.
- End of day balancing.
- General filing.
- Proper understanding and processing for all centralized activities as per Branch Operations Centralization Projects.
Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required
- Knowledge of ADIBs Retail Banking products & services.
- Knowledge of ADIBs Operational Policies & Procedures.
- Knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations & risks.
- Awareness of competitors in the local market.
- Knowledge of all the Regulations issued by Central Bank of UAE.
- Knowledge of service standards.
- Cross Sales skills.
Previous Experience Required (if any)
1. Minimum two (02) months experience/training as teller in a banking environment/ADIB Academy.
