Job summary

Tecnicas Reunidas in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Telecommunications Engineer to define system philosophies, specifications and architectures for telecom and data networks on Oil & Gas EPC/FEED projects. You will develop layouts, bill of materials, supply requisitions and coordinate with vendors and subcontractors on site.

Required: Master’s or Bachelor's in Engineering, 7+ years' experience, ADNOC project exposure preferred, willingness to travel and work on site as needed.

Qualifications

• Senior Telecommunications Engineer with a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in Telecommunications engineering.
• Oil & Gas EPC/FEED project experience is required.
• ADNOC project experience is highly valued.
• Willingness to travel and work on site as needed.

Responsibilities

• Define philosophies and system specifications for telecom and related systems.
• Develop engineering designs including layouts, cable routings, cable lists and equipment lists.
• Coordinate with vendors, system integrators and subcontractors on technical matters.
• Provide on-site construction support and supervision.
• Prepare requisitions and bid tabulations for telecom equipment and cables.

Functions / Responsibilities:

Preparation of the following activities and deliverables:

• Definition of philosophies and system specifications for:
• Process CCTV
• PAGA
• Radio systems (TETRA, UHF, VHF)
• VoIP Telephone
• LAN data networks
• Wi-Fi
• Security CCTV
• Access Control System (ACS)
• Building Management System (BMS)
• Outside Plant Cabling (OPC)
• Structured Cabling System (SCS)
• Other related telecommunications systems
• Establishment of telecommunications system architectures and block diagrams.
• Development of basic and detailed engineering designs, including layouts, cable routings, cable lists and equipment lists.
• Preparation of requisitions and technical bid tabulations for telecom equipment and cables.
• Technical management and order follow-up with vendors, system integrators and subcontractors.
• Construction and site support.

Requirements:

• Senior Telecommunications Engineer with a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of experience performing the functions described above.
• Experience in Oil & Gas projects, particularly EPC and/or FEED projects.
• Experience in ADNOC projects will be highly valued.
• Site work experience will be highly valued.
• Site survey experience will be highly valued.
• Availability to travel and work at site when required.
