Overall Purpose
- Operate and maintain the ship’s marine equipment safely, economically and efficiently in accordance with customer contract and approved budgets.
- Approve purchases in accordance with the Company Authority Matrix.
- Conduct the tasks listed in the Responsibility section.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the technical management and performance of the vessel (including well intervention equipment) and for the technical budget.
- On‑shore contact point for the vessel in day‑to‑day technical management and mobilisation activities.
- Ensure that the vessel operates in accordance with relevant laws, regulations, statutory and classification surveys.
- Implement preventive and corrective maintenance to prevent technical / operational non‑conformities.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the maintenance system and provide feedback to the Fleet Manager and ShipSure team.
- Monitor and follow up the vessel’s technical performance and defined KPIs, taking immediate actions to adjust and improve performance.
- Report vessel technical status on a weekly basis to the Fleet Manager.
- Plan, coordinate and supervise ship repair and dry‑docking of vessels in cooperation with stakeholders.
- Arrange repairs, provide spares and service engineers for major breakdowns and supervise repair work to ensure safe work, best quality and cost‑effective process.
- Lead and carry out Vessel Condition Assessments in cooperation with owners.
- Participate in appraisals of key personnel onboard the vessel.
- Comply with the requirements of the Vessel Management System and report non‑conformities.
