Job description
Overview

Our client is building the next-generation travel platform - bridging corporate efficiency with consumer-grade experience. With a dual product focus (Enterprise for B2B and Travel App for B2C), they help users discover, plan, and book travel like never before - personalized, intelligent and joyful.

Their teams work across Dubai, Europe, and internationally. They combine creativity, velocity, and strong execution standards - and were looking for a Technical Project Manager who can help to scale the delivery engine.

About the Role

Location: Dubai, Onsite

Department: Product & R&D

Reports to: VP R&D / VP Product

What You\'ll Do

The Technical Project Manager will be the operational driver behind cross-functional execution. You\'ll lead sprint rituals, own Jira workflows, manage dependencies, align stakeholders, and ensure everyone - from engineers to designers to leadership - is on the same page.

This role is perfect for someone who loves structure, lives in Jira, and thrives on cross-team coordination in a fast-paced startup environment.

Sprint Planning & Execution
  • Lead sprint rituals: planning, standups, reviews, retros, summaries
  • Ensure every sprint has decomposed, estimated, and well-defined stories
  • Prepare and distribute sprint summaries with metrics, blockers, and feedback
  • Track team velocity and delivery quality across squads
Backlog & Grooming Ownership
  • Own Jira projects for multiple teams (App, Enterprise, Innovation)
  • Lead grooming sessions and maintain backlog hygiene
  • Enforce decomposition standards (data, domain, UI, integration layers)
  • Maintain automations, dashboards, and traceability between stories, epics, and releases
Cross-Team & Project Coordination
  • Coordinate work across backend, frontend, mobile, QA, and design
  • Manage dependencies between the mobile app, enterprise platform and Innovation tracks
  • Track progress on key features (e.g., itinerary sharing, hotel booking engine, notification system)
Meeting & Stakeholder Management
  • Set, prepare, and lead team syncs, reviews, and leadership updates
  • Ensure all action items are documented, assigned, and followed up
  • Serve as the bridge between product, engineering, design, QA, and leadership
Release & Risk Management
  • Plan, track, and coordinate releases across web and mobile
  • Ensure QA readiness, deployment success, and rollback plans
  • Maintain risk registers and escalate critical issues early
Metrics & Reporting
  • Track and improve sprint KPIs: delivery rate, spillover, blocker resolution
  • Provide reporting and insights to leadership on delivery health
  • Monitor tech debt ratio and ensure balance in sprint planning
Documentation & Coaching
  • Maintain Confluence structure, sprint templates, and grooming docs
  • Coach teams on agile delivery, Jira usage, and delivery consistency
  • Facilitate team improvement and knowledge-sharing rituals
What You\'ll Need
  • 3-5 years in a technical/agile project management role, ideally in startups or product-led orgs
  • Strong command of Jira, Confluence, and Agile methodologies
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • High attention to detail and strong ownership mindset
  • Experience working with multi-squad environments across mobile, web, and backend
  • Technical background or fluency in engineering workflows (bonus if you\'ve been a developer or studied CS)
Bonus Points
  • Experience with mobile development cycles (iOS/Android)
  • Familiarity with travel tech, booking flows, or B2B SaaS
  • Fluent in Jira automation and JQL
  • Worked with distributed teams and complex cross-team dependencies
  • Prior work experience in an online travel company or similar in the travelling industry
