Job summary

The Dubai agribusiness group is seeking a Technical Manager to lead all Food Safety, Quality Assurance, Quality Control and Compliance at its Dubai site. You will develop and maintain a robust QMS, ensure compliance with international food safety standards and support strategic growth.

Key tasks include leading the QMS, HACCP Team, audits, supplier/s materials specifications, and overseeing internal and third-party audits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years' experience in food manufacturing, 5+ in technical/quality management.
• Experience supplying UK supermarkets with private-label products.
• Experience implementing and maintaining a GFSI-certified scheme including leading audits.

This is a long-established agribusiness group headquartered in Dubai that trades, processes and farms a niche product ingredient in many different forms. They supply food manufacturers and distributors worldwide, and in the UK their products are distributed by an established ingredients company supplying into retail, manufacturing and foodservice.

About the Technical Manager job

The purpose of your role will be to lead all Food Safety, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Compliance activities across the Dubai manufacturing site. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining a robust Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with internationally recognised food safety standards, and supporting the company's strategic growth.

Key tasks

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the site's Quality Management System (QMS).
• Lead the Site’s HACCP Team and Food Safety Culture program.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety standards, regulatory and customer requirements.
• Lead and manage all food safety and quality control site activities, managing the transition from Quality Control to Quality Assurance.
• Oversee internal, customer, regulatory, and third-party audits.
• Manage supplier approval, supplier quality performance, and raw material specifications.

About You

You will have recent hands‑on experience as the Technical Lead within a High Care or High Risk food manufacturing site that has successfully achieved and maintained GFSI certification. In addition:

• Minimum 7 years' experience in food manufacturing and 5 years' within technical / quality management.
• Proven experience supplying UK supermarkets with their private-label products.
• Demonstrable experience implementing and maintaining a food manufacturing GFSI-recognised certification scheme from preparation through leading the audit, to certification and ongoing compliance.
• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
• Level 4 HACCP Certification, Lead Auditor qualification in BRCGS, FSSC 22000, IFS or equivalent.

More details

The Technical Manager job is based in Dubai and is paying £40,000 - £50,000 TAX FREE (c. £70k UK equivalent) + relocation package + benefits according to your experience.

The working hours are Monday - Friday (with flexibility). The role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and requires a fluent English speaker.
