Job summary

OneBullEx seeks a senior engineering leader to drive the technical planning and architecture for our centralized exchange (CEX) platform in Dubai. You will report to the CTO and guide the engineering team through design, implementation, and delivery of core trading, wallets, risk, and back-end systems.

The role requires 8+ years in software development with 3+ years leading engineering teams within large-scale internet/fintech environments, and deep expertise in high-concurrency, low-latency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field.
• 8+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years in engineering team management in large-scale fintech/ internet systems.
• Experience with centralized exchanges (CEX) and core trading systems.
• Deep knowledge of spot and contract engines and high-concurrency engines.
• Knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL and modern distributed tech (Kafka, Redis, MongoDB).
• Strong system design and code review skills.

Responsibilities

• Report to the CTO and help drive technical planning and architecture for the CEX platform.
• Lead R&D management for core systems: trading, market data, wallets, risk control, clearing, settlement, accounts, back-end systems.
• Break down tech roadmap, develop plans, and ensure timely high-quality delivery.
• Manage daily engineering team activities: task allocation, code quality, progress tracking.
• Collaborate with product, operations, risk, security, and business teams to translate needs into tech solutions.
• Contribute to system architecture design for high concurrency, low latency, high availability, scalability.
• Improve R&D processes: requirements, design reviews, development specs, testing, releases, monitoring, incident response.
• Ensure stability and performance, handle major technical issues and security concerns.
• Drive continuous optimization in trading, wallets, risk control, and back-end systems.
• Assist CTO in building the tech team, recruitment, and collaboration.

Job Responsibilities

1. Report to the CTO and assist the CTO in driving the technical planning system architecture implementation and engineering team management of the company s centralized exchange CEX platform
2. Responsible for the R amp D management and delivery of the CEX platform s core systems including but not limited to the trading system matching engine market data system wallet system risk control system clearing and settlement system user account system and back-end management system
3. Based on the technology strategy and business development direction formulated by the CTO break down the technology roadmap develop project plans and promote the engineering team to deliver on time and with high quality
4. Responsible for the daily management of the engineering team including task allocation technical review code quality management progress tracking problem coordination and team capacity building
5. Work closely with product operations risk control compliance security customer service and business teams to translate business needs into clear and actionable technical solutions
6. Participate in the design of the exchange s system architecture and core technology decisions focusing on ensuring the system s high concurrency low latency high availability high security and scalability
7. Establish and continuously optimize the R amp D process including requirements review technical solution review development specifications testing process online release monitoring and alarm fault response and review mechanism
8. Responsible for the stability and performance optimization of the core system and assisting in handling major technical issues including transaction delays system bottlenecks asset security data consistency deposit and withdrawal anomalies and online failures
9. Drive the team to continuously optimize and accumulate technology in areas such as trading systems contract business wallet security risk control strategies and back-end systems
10. Assist the CTO in building the technical team including talent recruitment talent pipeline development performance feedback and improving team collaboration efficiency

Require

1. Bachelor s degree or above with preference given to candidates majoring in computer science software engineering information technology or related fields
2. Over 8 years of software development experience over 3 years of engineering team management experience with relevant experience in large-scale internet fintech exchange or high-concurrency systems
3. Must have experience working on a centralized exchange CEX be familiar with the exchange s core business processes and system architecture including spot trading contract trading matching engine wallet risk control clearing and settlement market data push and back-end systems Technically must have in-depth knowledge of spot and contract engines be able to optimize contract engines to achieve stable operation at 30k TPS and handle concurrent low-latency massive data processing nbsp
4. Familiar with high-concurrency low-latency and high-availability system architecture design and possess experience in large-scale distributed system design performance optimization and stability assurance
5. Familiar with at least one mainstream backend development language such as Java Go Python or C and possess strong system design and code review skills
6. Familiar with MySQL PostgreSQL Redis Kafka MongoDB Elasticsearch Kubernetes Docker cloud services and microservice architecture
7. Gain a deep understanding of the key technical aspects of the trading system including order lifecycle matching logic fund freezing and unfreezing position management liquidation logic funding rates risk limits and data consistency
8. Possess strong security awareness and be familiar with wallet security access control private key management deposit and withdrawal processes anti-fraud mechanisms risk control strategies and system security protection
9. Possesses mature team management and project implementation capabilities and is able to coordinate resources from multiple parties and drive the implementation of complex projects in a rapidly changing business environment
10. Possesses strong problem analysis risk assessment and emergency response capabilities and is able to quickly locate and resolve problems under high-pressure environments
11. Able to maintain efficient collaboration with the CTO understand the technology strategy and lead the team to complete the specific implementation
12. You need to be very familiar with the upstream and downstream businesses of the engine such as wallets settlement and commission rebate systems
13. For AI there should be direct case studies demonstrating team collaboration processes or tools
