Job summary

NMDC Group in the United Arab Emirates seeks an experienced Engineering Generalist to plan and supervise equipment maintenance, coordinate new installations, and guide a maintenance team to ensure reliable plant operations.

The role covers spare parts planning, cost estimation, bid evaluation, and strict adherence to HSE standards. You will participate in welding R&D and may take on additional tasks as required by operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 06 years of related work experience in similar industries.

Responsibilities

• Develop work plans & allocate resources to complete equipment maintenance & repair activities.
• Coordinate and carry out new installations, modifications and tie-ins of facility’s systems and networks.
• Supervise & guide staff involved in new installations, repair, and maintenance activities.
• Provide day-to-day engineering & technical advice to team members.
• Establish requirements for spare parts and ensure that these are sufficiently stocked to meet all maintenance and repair needs.
• Prepare technical specifications for equipment, systems or required materials and participate in the technical evaluation of bids.
• Ensure availability of project equipment based on mobilization plans.
• Monitor expenditure, prepare cost estimates and justification for equipment.
• Compliance in accordance with Company policies & procedures, Policy of Integrity & Code of Conduct and HSE standards.
• This is a generalist view of a job that you have been assigned for – at times you will be asked to do above/beyond the scope of this role due to operational requirements.
• Participate in welding R&D efforts including the timely completion of all assigned actions in support of company and departmental strategic goals.
