Job summary

Backbase in Dubai seeks a Technical Director to lead the technology strategy for a key client portfolio. You own the technical success and quality of solution delivery, partnering with Delivery and Sales leaders to ensure smooth go-lives and ongoing scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience and 5 years in management with a strong technical background.
• Led enterprise-grade software delivery, preferably in financial services or regulated industries.
• Proficient with Java, Spring, Maven/Gradle, Angular, Kotlin, cloud deployments, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience in DevOps, CI/CD, Observability and SRE practices.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with CXOs.

Responsibilities

• Take full technical ownership of client accounts as technology leader across all workstreams.
• Ensure technical success from pre-sales to post go-live evolution.
• Define and drive clients' technical strategy using product expertise.
• Advocate for the client and voice of the customer within Backbase.
• Identify opportunities for better product adoption and align requirements with RD roadmap.
• Collaborate with Technical Support, Product Engineering, and Project Implementation to ensure successful deployments.
• Partner with Delivery to balance time-to-market and quality needs.
• Govern architecture reviews and design governance.
