Job summary

Medtronic plc in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Technical Consultant for Electrophysiology Therapies. You will serve as the clinical and technical expert, supporting physicians, cath labs, and hospital teams to drive therapy adoption and improve patient outcomes.

Based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, the role requires travel within the territory to provide onsite clinical and technical support during EP procedures and device implantations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, nursing, clinical sciences, medical technology, or related healthcare field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in the medical device industry, cardiology, electrophysiology, or cath lab environments.
• Strong clinical and technical aptitude with the ability to learn complex technologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and technical support during cardiac device implantation and electrophysiology procedures.
• Deliver real-time case support and troubleshooting in cath-labs and EP suites.
• Conduct product training and education programs for physicians, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Support the introduction and adoption of new technologies and therapies across assigned accounts.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to develop account strategies and identify growth opportunities.

The Electrophysiology (EP) Therapies (Cardiac Rhythm management and Cardiac ablation solution) are focused on advancing innovative technologies for the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. The team supports the adoption of advanced electrophysiology solutions, partnering closely with electrophysiologists, healthcare professionals, and hospital teams to provide clinical and technical expertise and help improve patient outcomes.

This role is based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, supporting customers across the assigned territory. The position requires regular travel within the territory to provide onsite clinical, technical, and customer support, including support during electrophysiology procedures.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Technical Consultant, you will serve as the clinical and technical expert for Medtronic’s Electrophysiology Therapies, partnering with physicians, electrophysiologists, catheterization laboratories, and hospital teams to support procedures, drive therapy adoption, and improve patient outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing clinical and technical support during the cardiac device implantation and electrophysiology procedures.
• Delivering real-time case support and troubleshooting in cath-labs and electrophysiology suites.
• Conducting product training and educational programs for physicians, nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
• Supporting the introduction and adoption of new technologies and therapies across assigned accounts.
• Supporting clinical evaluations, workshops, scientific meetings, and educational activities.
• Collaborating with commercial teams to develop account strategies and identify growth opportunities.
• Building strong relationships with key customers and healthcare stakeholders.
• Support inventory management, consignment reviews, and field corrective actions when required.
• Ensuring compliance with Medtronic policies, quality standards, and local regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biomedical engineering, Nursing, Clinical Sciences, Medical Technology, or a related healthcare field.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in the medical device industry, cardiology, electrophysiology, Cardiac rhythm management, or cath lab environments.
• Strong clinical and technical aptitude with the ability to learn complex technologies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced clinical environment.
• Professional level English proficiency, both written and spoken.
• Experience within the UAE healthcare market.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience delivering customer training and education programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems such as Salesforce/SFDC.
