Job summary

Etihad Engineering is seeking a procurement professional to ensure timely, compliant and cost‑effective supply of aircraft materials and services to support on‑time maintenance and operational excellence.

This role emphasizes balancing responsiveness with commercial rigor, sourcing from OEMs and approved suppliers, managing AOG demand, and driving cost improvements through negotiations and KPI‑driven supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Aviation, Supply Chain, or related technical field.
• 5+ years' procurement experience, with at least 3 years in aviation procurement.
• Experience with MRO systems and aviation regulatory documentation.

Responsibilities

• Execute procurement of aircraft parts and services aligned to planning and KPIs.
• Source from OEMs and approved suppliers ensuring airworthiness and quality.
• Manage AOG and critical demand to minimize disruption.
• Lead RFQs, tenders, bid evaluation and supplier negotiations.
• Drive cost optimization via price analysis and terms negotiation.
• Monitor supplier performance on lead time, quality, and reliability.
• Proactively manage open/overdue orders for on-time delivery.
• Resolve receipt discrepancies and invoice queries to targets.
• Maintain accurate order status and audit trails for transparency.

Job description

Ensure timely, reliable, compliant, and cost-effective supply of aircraft materials and technical services to enable on‑time maintenance and operational excellence at Etihad Engineering. This role balances operational responsiveness with commercial rigor, strengthens supplier performance, and delivers continuous improvement in cost, lead time, and service reliability across planned and AOG demand.

Responsibilities

• Execute procurement of aircraft parts and services in line with material planning, operational priorities, and supply chain KPIs.
• Source from OEMs, distributors, and approved suppliers, ensuring full compliance with airworthiness, quality, and certification requirements.
• Manage AOG and critical demand to minimize operational disruption.
• Lead commercial activities for non‑contracted spend, including RFQs, tenders, bid evaluation, and supplier negotiations.
• Drive cost optimization through price analysis and negotiation of pricing, commercial terms, warranties, rebates, and lead times.
• Monitor and improve supplier performance across lead time, TAT, quality, and service reliability.
• Proactively manage open and overdue orders to ensure on‑time delivery and operational continuity.
• Own end‑to‑end resolution of receipt discrepancies (SDRs) and invoice queries to meet supply chain service targets.
• Maintain accurate order status, documentation, and audit trails to ensure transparency for planning and operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Aviation, Supply Chain, or related technical field
• 5+ years' of overall procurement experience with at least 3 years in aviation procurement experience (Airline/MRO preferred).
• Strong working knowledge of MRO systems (e.g., AMOS, CMRO), advanced Excel capability, Power BI a plus.
• Solid understanding of aircraft technical documentation (AMM, IPC, CMM, MPD, RSPLs).
• Strong knowledge of aircraft materials including rotable, repairable, expendable, and consumable parts.
• Understanding of aviation regulatory and airworthiness documentation including EASA Form 1, FAA 8130-3, CoC, and traceability requirements
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
