Job summary

Evollabs in Dubai is seeking a Team Lead of the Control Plane group to guide a team of engineers building the NOS routing brain. This hybrid role combines coding and review of protocol implementations with mentoring, delivery management, and team growth.

You’ll scale NOS across data center fabrics, telco backbones, and multi-cloud environments, leading 5–10 engineers, reviewing code, setting practices, and coordinating with other planes to ensure end-to-end success.

Qualifications

• Solid background in C/Linux networking software.
• Experience leading or mentoring teams (formal lead or strong tech lead role).
• Expertise in routing protocols and distributed systems design.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across hardware and software boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team (5–10 engineers) developing control plane protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, LDP, MPLS, BFD, SNMP).
• Review code, set engineering practices, and ensure protocol correctness and performance.
• Coordinate with data plane, HAL, and management plane teams for seamless end-to-end integration.
• Mentor engineers in protocol design, RFC interpretation, and debugging techniques.
• Drive sprint planning and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
• Represent the control plane team in system-level architectural reviews.
