Teacher – A Level Maths in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is a focused Primary‑Secondary Education opportunity for an experienced Mathematics teacher who can deliver high‑quality A Level instruction within a British curriculum international school. This role is ideal for a confident educator with strong subject expertise, excellent classroom practice, and the ability to inspire senior students through challenging, structured, and engaging Maths teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Maths to A Level students through well‑planned, challenging, and engaging lessons.
- Deliver advanced Mathematics content with accurate subject knowledge and clear learning objectives.
- Support students in developing problem‑solving ability, logical reasoning, mathematical fluency, exam technique, and independent study skills.
- Plan differentiated lessons that meet the needs of high‑performing students as well as learners requiring additional support.
- Prepare students for assessments, mock examinations, external examinations, and academic progression.
- Use effective questioning, modelling, worked examples, practice tasks, digital tools, and feedback to improve student understanding.
- Track, assess, record, and report student progress using meaningful data and clear academic targets.
- Share exemplary teaching practices with colleagues and contribute to improvement across the Mathematics department.
- Create a classroom environment that encourages confidence, curiosity, resilience, respect, and active participation.
- Work closely with colleagues, parents, department leaders, and school leadership to support student achievement and wellbeing.
- Contribute to curriculum planning, resource development, assessment design, intervention planning, and enrichment activities.
- Take part in extra‑curricular programmes, community events, and wider school initiatives where required.
- Maintain professional standards in lesson planning, communication, safeguarding, student care, and academic documentation.
- Follow GEMS Education policies, school procedures, safeguarding standards, and professional codes of conduct at all times.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- BEd or Bachelor's degree with PGCE, PGDE, or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong academic background in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
- Proven experience teaching Maths to A Level classes.
- Experience in a British curriculum or international school environment is highly desirable.
- Strong record of delivering outstanding learning and teaching outcomes.
- Excellent understanding of A Level Mathematics curriculum expectations, assessment methods, and examination preparation.
- Creative and enthusiastic approach to teaching inside and outside the classroom.
- Ability to share effective classroom practice and support high standards within the department.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for working closely with students, parents, colleagues, and school leaders.
- Strong classroom management skills with a supportive, inclusive, and achievement‑focused approach.
