Job summary

L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering is seeking a TBM Shift Supervisor in Dubai, UAE. The role involves supervising and coordinating all tunnel boring machine (TBM) shift activities, including excavation, segment erection, grouting and spoil removal, as well as backup system operations.

You will lead TBM crews, ensure safe work practices, monitor production targets, and coordinate with engineering, QA/QC and HSE teams to optimize performance. Strong communication and shift-handover skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all TBM shift activities including excavation segment erection annular grouting spoil removal and backup system operations
• Lead and manage TBM crew personnel ensuring safe work practices productivity and adherence to project procedures
• Monitor TBM operational parameters and tunnel advancement to achieve planned production targets and maintain alignment requirements
• Oversee ring building activities ensuring correct segment installation and compliance with quality standards
• Coordinate grouting operations to ensure proper ground support and tunnel stability
• Ensure uninterrupted spoil handling material supply and logistical support for continuous TBM operation
• Enforce HSE requirements conduct toolbox talks and promptly address unsafe conditions or incidents
• Coordinate with Engineering Survey Maintenance QA QC and HSE teams to resolve operational issues and optimize performance
• Monitor equipment condition report defects and support maintenance activities to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate shift records including production downtime safety observations equipment status and resource utilization
• Conduct effective shift handovers and communicate operational priorities risks and ongoing activities
