Compliance Manager
We’re hiring a hands-on Compliance Manager to own our end-to-end compliance program across Corporate Tax (CT), VAT, Excise, AML and Internal Audit. You’ll lead compliance calendars, filings, risk assessments, and internal controls, and partner with business/finance to embed best-practice processes. Strong expertise in CT/VAT/Excise is essential; you’ll learn and expand into AML/CFT and Internal Audit with us.
You have:
- 5–8+ years in compliance/tax within FMCG (must-have).
- Big 4 experience (advisory or assurance) preferred.
- Professional qualification: CA / ACCA / CPA.
- Proven ownership of CT/VAT/Excise compliance, audits, and regulator interactions.
- Solid control mindset, policy drafting, and stakeholder management skills.

1. Technical Compliance & Tax Skills
- Strong knowledge of Corporate Tax (CT), VAT, and Excise tax frameworks in the UAE/GCC.
- Understanding of AML/CFT regulations and ability to build/monitor controls.
- Familiarity with Internal Audit frameworks, risk assessments, and control testing.
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory updates, circulars, and authority guidance.
2. Professional Expertise
- Chartered Accountant (CA), ACCA, or CPA qualification.
- Prior Big 4 experience in audit/tax/advisory.
- Industry exposure in FMCG – understanding supply chain, trading, and distribution complexities.
- Skilled in managing tax filings, audits, reconciliations, and regulator queries.
3. Analytical & Problem-Solving
- Strong analytical skills to review compliance reports, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
- Risk assessment capability across finance, operations, and regulatory domains.
- Ability to link compliance findings to commercial/operational impact.
4. Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Strong written and verbal communication for dealing with tax authorities, regulators, and internal teams.
- Drafting policies, compliance manuals, and audit reports clearly and precisely.
- Confidence in presenting compliance findings to senior management and the board.
5. Leadership & Execution
- Ability to set up and lead a compliance calendar (CT/VAT/Excise/AML filings, audits, reviews).
- Team management or mentoring experience preferred.
- Strong ownership mindset with independence to drive compliance initiatives.
6. Technology & Systems
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Oracle).
- Tax portals
- Comfort with data analysis tools (Excel/Power BI) for compliance dashboards.
