Job summary

BFL Group is seeking a Tailor – Alterations in Dubai to deliver high‑quality garment alterations and exceptional customer service. You will manage order intake through to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timely completion in a fast-paced retail tailoring area.

The role requires 2–3 years in tailoring, knowledge of fabrics, and strong attention to detail. You will support operations, handle basic cashier duties when needed, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

Role Purpose:

The Tailor – Alterations is responsible for carrying out accurate and high-quality garment alterations while providing courteous customer service. The role supports the tailoring operation by ensuring customer requirements are met from order intake through to final delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Store Operations Support

• Assist the Shop Manager with day-to-day store activities and ensure smooth operations.
• Take responsibility for store operations during the Shop Manager’s absence and report key issues.
• Report maintenance and repair requirements and ensure timely follow-up.

Garment Alterations & Quality Control

• Perform alterations such as hemming, resizing, repairs, and adjustments across various garments.
• Assess garments and recommend suitable alteration solutions based on customer needs and garment structure.
• Ensure all completed work meets required quality, fit, and finishing standards.

Operational Execution & Equipment Handling

• Operate sewing machines and hand‑sewing tools safely and efficiently.
• Manage assigned workload to ensure alterations are completed within agreed timelines.
• Inspect finished garments prior to delivery to confirm accuracy and quality.

Customer Interaction & Service Support

• Greet customers professionally and explain alteration options, timelines, and pricing clearly.
• Support cashier operations, including handling payments and issuing receipts when required.
• Coordinate with team members to maintain smooth workflow and service continuity.

Housekeeping & Compliance

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and quality guidelines consistently.
• Support a professional, customer-focused environment within the tailoring area.

Requirements

• Diploma or certification in tailoring or garment manufacturing (preferred).
• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in tailoring or garment alterations.
• Good knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and sewing techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively.
• Basic communication and customer service skills; cashier system familiarity is an advantage.
