Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Tailor role based in Dubai. The Tailor will measure clients, conduct fittings, and perform alterations and repairs on various garments, including dresses, suits, and traditional clothing. Responsibilities include cutting fabric, sewing by hand and machine, finishing garments, and ensuring that each piece meets agreed specifications and quality standards. The Tailor will consult with customers on style and fit, provide recommendations, and maintain clear communication throughout the process. The role also involves keeping the workspace organized, managing orders and timelines, and collaborating with colleagues to deliver consistent, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Tailoring and Dressmaking skills, including cutting, sewing, and garment construction.
• Candidates should possess precise Fitting skills, with the ability to take accurate measurements and adjust garments for optimal fit.
• Candidates should possess excellent Customer Service and Communication skills to interact professionally with clients and understand their needs.
• Candidates should ideally have experience with a range of fabrics, garment types, and alteration techniques.
• Candidates should demonstrate attention to detail, time management, and the ability to work efficiently in an on-site workshop.
• Previous experience as a Tailor or in a related garment production role is preferred; vocational training or certification in tailoring or fashion is an advantage.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, use sewing equipment safely, and follow health and safety guidelines.
• Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills relevant to Dubai’s diverse community are beneficial.
