Responsibilities

• Positioning and Alignment: Accurately positioning and aligning metal parts according to blueprints or specifications.
• Tack Welding: Applying short, temporary welds (tack welds) to hold components in place.
• Material Preparation: Preparing surfaces for welding, including cleaning and potentially grinding or shaping.
• Safety Compliance: Adhering to all safety procedures and guidelines related to welding and material handling.
• Quality Control: Inspecting tack welds to ensure they meet quality standards and are suitable for the subsequent welding process.
• Equipment Operation: Operating welding equipment, including manual and automated systems, as well as related tools for metal preparation and finishing.
