Job summary

Vertiv Group Corporation is seeking a Sustaining Engineer in the United Arab Emirates to own the Busbar PLM system and ensure production-ready designs throughout the product lifecycle.

You will respond to design-related production issues, drive manufacturability improvements, and support NPDI while maintaining ETO design quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of experience in product design
• 1-3+ years of experience in 3D modeling / 2D drafting
• Excellent communications skills - written & verbal
• Experience in Design for Manufacturability
• Experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
• 1-3+ years of experience in Sheet Metal and Copper Design
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

POSITION SUMMARY

The Sustaining Engineer is responsible for owning and maintaining the Busbar Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, ensuring accurate, controlled, and production-ready designs throughout the full product lifecycle. This role provides immediate response to design-related production issues, and drives Design for Manufacturability improvements to support safety, quality, and efficiency. Busbar is an Engineered-To-Order product, which means each customer order is specifically engineered. This generally leads to higher complexity and variation for departments supporting this product family. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a fast-paced environment that fosters problem-solving and continuous improvement.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain Busbar design Product Lifecycle Management
