Job summary

Vertiv in the United Arab Emirates seeks a Sustaining Engineer to own the Busbar PLM and deliver production‑ready designs across the full lifecycle. You will drive DFM improvements for safety, quality, and efficiency in an Engineered‑To‑Order environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining Busbar design PLM, providing production and supply chain design support, and NPDI involvement, ensuring ETO designs meet quality before release.

Qualifications

• 1-3+ years of experience in product design.
• 1-3+ years of experience in 3D modeling / 2D drafting.
• Experience in Design for Manufacturability.
• Experience using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
• 1-3+ years of experience in Sheet Metal and Copper Design.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Position Summary

The Sustaining Engineer is responsible for owning and maintaining the Busbar Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system, ensuring accurate, controlled, and production‑ready designs throughout the full product lifecycle. This role provides immediate response to design‑related production issues, and drives Design for Manufacturability improvements to support safety, quality, and efficiency. Busbar is an Engineered‑To‑Order (ETO) product, which means each customer order is specifically engineered. This generally leads to higher complexity and variation for departments supporting this product family. This position is ideal for individuals seeking a fast‑paced environment that fosters problem‑solving and continuous improvement.
