Job summary

Manpower Middle East is seeking an experienced Sustainability Manager to lead day-to-day ESG projects across the GCC, with Dubai or Amman as possible bases. You will oversee a team of consultants and analysts, ensuring client engagements meet high quality standards while driving operational excellence across multiple projects.

The role requires frequent travel to Saudi Arabia and across the GCC, with flexibility to travel to the UAE and other locations.

Qualifications

• Experience in ESG consulting, advisory, or assurance engagements.
• Strong knowledge of GHG accounting and Scope 1-3 emissions.
• Proficiency with a range of sustainability reporting frameworks (GRI, ISSB, TCFD, SASB, CDP).
• Ability to manage complex ESG projects end-to-end.
• Proven client relationship management and team leadership.

Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Sustainability Manager to join their team in either Dubai, UAE or Amman, Jordan.

This role is focused on leading the day-to-day delivery of a portfolio of ESG and sustainability projects across the GCC region. The successful candidate will oversee an established team of consultants and analysts, ensuring the successful execution of client engagements, maintaining exceptional quality standards, and driving operational excellence across multiple concurrent projects.

Frequent travel to Saudi Arabia is a core requirement of this role, along with travel across the wider GCC region. Candidates based in Amman must be able to travel to KSA and

the UAE without restrictions.

About the Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess expertise in:

• ESG and sustainability consulting, advisory, or assurance services.


• GHG accounting and emissions reporting under the GHG Protocol, including Scope 1, Scope 2, and Scope 3 emissions.


• Sustainability reporting frameworks such as GRI, ISSB (IFRS S1 & S2), TCFD, SASB, CDP, and regional ESG reporting guidelines.


• Managing complex sustainability and ESG projects from initiation through completion.


• Leading client workshops, materiality assessments, stakeholder engagement sessions, and data collection programs.


• Reviewing sustainability reports, GHG inventories, decarbonization roadmaps, gap assessments, and benchmarking studies.


• Managing teams, allocating resources, and maintaining project timelines and quality standards.


• Supporting proposal development, scopes of work, tender submissions, and technical methodologies.


• ESG reporting platforms and sustainability data management solutions.

About You

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Finance, or a related discipline.


• Minimum 4 to 6 years of relevant experience within ESG, sustainability consulting, advisory, or assurance environments. Stronger candidates with additional experience will also be considered.


• Proven experience managing end-to-end sustainability reporting engagements, from materiality assessment through to publication.


• Strong working knowledge of GHG accounting, including Scope 3 screening and category assessment.


• Practical experience with at least three of the following frameworks: GRI, ISSB (IFRS S1 & S2), TCFD, SASB, CDP, or regional ESG reporting guidelines.


• Demonstrated experience managing senior-level client relationships independently.


• Experience leading, mentoring, supervising, or coordinating consultants and project teams.


• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to prepare and review client-ready deliverables.


• Ability to travel frequently to Saudi Arabia and across the GCC without travel restrictions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional proficiency in Arabic (written and spoken).


• Master's degree in a related field.


• Professional certifications such as GRI Certified Professional, SASB FSA Credential, GHG Protocol Training, or ISO 14064 Lead Verifier.


• Experience within industrial and heavy-emitting sectors such as petrochemicals, cement, aluminium, glass, paper, or logistics.


• Familiarity with sustainability-linked finance, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), or carbon credit methodologies.


• Experience with ESG reporting platforms and sustainability software solutions.


• Experience managing teams across multiple countries and locations.
