Job summary

Qualifications

• Strong sustainability experience in UAE real estate or construction.
• Experience across large-scale developments, masterplans and assets.
• Consultancy background desirable; client-side experience advantageous.
• Accreditation in Estidama, LEED, WELL, BREEAM and/or GRI.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Architecture, Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Lead sustainability reviews across masterplans and individual developments.

I am currently supporting a leading UAE real estate developer with the appointment of a Sustainability Manager. This is a client-side position responsible for driving sustainability requirements across major masterplans and individual real estate assets, with a strong focus on design reviews, certification, ESG reporting and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead sustainability reviews across masterplans and individual developments
• Manage green-building certification requirements, including Estidama, LEED, WELL and BREEAM
• Advise internal design, development and delivery teams on sustainability strategy and compliance
• Coordinate consultants and project stakeholders to resolve technical gaps and maintain certification targets
• Support ESG disclosures, annual sustainability reviews and wider corporate reporting
• Review project documentation and ensure sustainability requirements are embedded throughout the development lifecycle

Candidate Profile:

• Strong sustainability experience within the UAE real estate or construction sector
• Experience working across large-scale developments, masterplans and individual assets
• Consultancy experience is highly desirable; client-side experience would be advantageous
• Relevant accreditation in Estidama, LEED, WELL, BREEAM and/or GRI
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder-management skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Architecture, Engineering or a related discipline
