Job summary

Ignite Search & Selection is seeking an experienced Sustainability Specialist to guide sustainable building design from concept through to post-occupancy, delivering energy-efficient, low-carbon projects and successful green building certifications.

Responsibilities include developing sustainability strategies, managing certifications (LEED, WELL, Estidama, BREEAM, Fitwel, GSAS), performing energy modelling, and mentoring junior team members while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of hands-on sustainability consultancy experience.
• LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP and Estidama Pearl Qualified Professional (PQP) credentials.
• Experience with Al Sa’fat requirements and local green building regulations.
• Advanced proficiency in IES VE, with experience using One Click LCA and LEED Online.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and experience with Revit.
• Strong technical analysis, communication and project coordination skills.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Environmental Engineering or Architecture

• Master’s degree in Sustainable Design, Environmental Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered status, such as CEng or CEnv.
• Experience with a reputable design consultancy, delivering sustainability strategies, certifications and building performance analysis on notable projects.
